Why did you choose the shipbuilding sector?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We can say that it was a natural evolution <\/strong>of our working method, the result of experience, constant study, and innovation. We then adapted our organisation to the required standards, by engaging every day to deeply understand the complex dynamics which regulate this sector. Flexibility and reliability are essential features when working in the shipbuilding sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Can you explain it better?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our company\u2019s flexibility <\/strong>enabled us to offer different types of products. To name a few: wood or metal chairs, inox stools, armchairs, multifunctional ottomans, and other furniture. Our reliability <\/strong>then allowed us to supply products which were approved and homologated, because they responded to the highest standards required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How was landing in the shipbuilding sector?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Well, it was not that easy. There are many aspects to consider. Often, when thinking of a cruise ship, we gaze at its beauty and magnificence. However, it\u2019s beyond the surface that lies the \u201cmystery\u201d<\/strong> of its construction. Just to make an example, fully understanding the customer\u2019s needs is itself a challenge, especially in terms of pre-sales and after-sales service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This happens with seating as well?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Definitely! Seating is no exception. You might be surprised to learn how many criteria, regulations, and certifications <\/strong>chairs must follow and how many tests and inspections <\/strong>they have to undergo. Even the finest and trivial detail cannot be neglected. Every product must be flawless<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What does it mean even to think of creating a chair or a furniture component exclusively for a cruise ship?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It means thinking about a chair\u2019s durability<\/strong>, its simple cleaning and maintenance <\/strong>over time. That is to say, providing also a service of refit <\/strong>and ensuring available components for any possible replacements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To refit, which means?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Providing a service of restoration and refurbishment of worn-out chairs, extending their life cycle. Having also, in this way, a positive environmental footprint<\/strong> by implementing sustainable practices<\/strong>, a topic in which we engage every day when realising our projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before, we talked about following specific regulations, can you make an example?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of course. For example, the upholstery must be resistant, easy to clean and must have specific certifications, in particular the IMO certification<\/strong>. We are talking about marine equipment, so the risk of rust is very high. For this reason, metal parts, including screws and upholstery staples, must be rigorously anti-rust.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moreover, the packaging <\/strong>needs special care as well, to guarantee maximum protection during each transport phase. Besides, there are hundreds of specific instructions concerning materials, aesthetics, and reports to deliver\u2026 in conclusion, an encyclopaedia isn\u2019t enough to exhaust the subject.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How do you manage all these regulations?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

With full transparency<\/strong>. The customer becomes a company co-worker with whom we share all information, including the structure of the costs for the products\u2019 single components and manufacturing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Are there some things that is better to avoid doing?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yes. For example, hiding <\/strong>possible issues<\/strong>, because quality check is very strict and it\u2019s made on 100% of the products. If a supply is made of 2623 chairs, quality checks are made on 2623 chairs, not one less. Or waiting before solving a specific request and taking initiatives <\/strong>without a previous arrangement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Which are the most beautiful aspects when working with the shipbuilding sector?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The great regard <\/strong>the customer has for our work. He looks at us as part of its organisation and not just a simple supplier. In addition, the prestigious references<\/strong>, our products sail the most beautiful seas aboard magnificent cruise ships, and the chance to see in advance the biggest ships in the world!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you were to describe your work in the shipbuilding sector with a word and a colour, which ones would you choose and why?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

That is a difficult question. As a word we choose empathy<\/strong>, because it is no longer enough to just listen to the customer. It is important to communicate and harmonize with him. As colour, definitely the blue<\/strong>, as the deep blue of the sea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many people, when looking at the pictures, are fascinated by cruise ships. What does it mean for you to be part of them with your seating and furniture?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is moving <\/strong>to know that lots of people from all over the world are going to use our products.
