A short story
Once upon a time, two brothers dreamt of building a chair able to explore the world by sailing the seas. They had been hearing about the giants of the sea for a long time, about their beauty and their ability to warm the hearts of the people who met them.
It seemed to be a distant goal to achieve, yet the two brothers decided to take a chance. The path wasn’t easy. The selection to become part of a giant of the sea was going to be difficult, but they weren’t afraid. They loved challenges and they would give their all, studying day and night down to the finest detail. They were going to make it.
The months slipped by, and the time to put everything into practice came. Each part of the chair was conceived and created with meticulous care specifically to prepare it for its big journey. Many were the aspects and regulations to take into consideration. Neither the tiniest little mistake was allowed. Everything had to be perfect.
That was how from a small sketch on a paper a little chair slowly came to life, becoming a beautiful creature. Like a butterfly emerging from its cocoon, the little chair too was soon ready to spread its wings, or better, to set sail.
The news arrived unexpectedly sometime afterwards. The two brothers’ efforts and commitment bore fruit and the little chair won the selection. Her journey with the giants of the seas was about to start. Finally, it was time for her as well to be part of that joyful world, welcoming on board the passengers in her comforting embrace.
The first days were full of preparations. The bustle was evident and then it happened: the little chair saw him. It was enormous, a real giant floating peacefully and unperceivable over the brown waters. A wonder waiting for her.
Obviously, she wouldn’t board alone because her sisters would be there too to share that magic. Since the first selection, in fact, each one of them quickly passed all the examinations.
The expected moment finally was there and a combination of excitement and suspense came over, but she knew to be born for this. She immediately felt to belong with that giant’s world and that was all she needed. So she took a deep breath and stepped a leg towards the big entrance ready to live her journey.
This is how everything started. The story of a big adventure that began with a dream and with two brothers who decided to follow it.
